Felene M Cayetano is a Belizean Garifuna author, mother, poet, librarian, and editor. Her work involves advocating for cultural continuity, literacy, authors, poets, and small publishers through the Belize National Library Service and Information System, the Belize Book Industry Association, and the Belize Copyright Licensing Agency. She has published two collections of poetry and also edited and co-wrote Belizean Nail Soup, a short story anthology.

In 2020 Felene was selected to take part in the Commonwealth Writers “Caribbean Voices” Film Workshop. She hopes to use the experience gained to continue to tell Garifuna-inspired stories.
