Lawrence Vernon is an author, editor, researcher, and librarian. He has contributed immensely to several Belizean publications over the years. In 2011, he was granted the Honor of Distinction by the Prime Minister for his contributions. In November of 2018, he self-published A Narrative of Political Parties in Belize. He has also published several short stories, articles, and research papers on Belizean history.

Vernon’s greatest ambition is to strengthen the public library network in Belize and improve access to information by all Belizeans, especially children and special needs groups.
